How to decorate the Christmas tree in 3 steps

Christmas is just around the corner, and it's time to decorate your house. Learn how to decorate the Christmas tree in 3 steps with our decorative tips and accessories.

There's no running away: Christmas is almost here, and if you haven't made your tree yet, you're in the right place. That is one of the most memorable moments of the year. The truth is that there is nothing like decorating the Christmas tree with the family.

First of all, don't forget to create the right atmosphere and there's nothing better than a Christmas playlist. Turn up the sound, light some candles, and start by unpacking the tree and its decorations.

Now, it's time to work. The task isn't simple, nor is it fast, but it's undoubtedly one of those you like to do the most. It's the most special time of the year, as everyone calls it, so put up unique decorations.

That is also a great way to create the Christmas atmosphere. Christmas decoration is so unique and, among the crib, flower crowns, and other decorative pieces, it will be difficult not to decorate every corner of the house.

Yes, because to decorate the living room only or the room where you put the tree in is far behind the decoration you can create throughout the house. Put on some Santa Clauses, snowballs, mistletoes, lanterns and candle holders, and fragrances.

Don't spare on the decorations and create light focus whenever possible. Prepare your home for Christmas arrival as you light candles in several rooms and put lighting sets on glass jars to complement the rest of the atmosphere.

In the end, only the Christmas tree is missing, and there are 3 steps you should follow to create the most beautiful decoration ever.

1. First the tree, then the lights, and the decoration at the end

It sounds like a simple tip, but it saves everyone's time. Besides, only by following this order is it possible to create a unique decoration and realize if, in the end, it works.

Start by assembling the tree, ensuring that none of the branches remain unopened (if you have an artificial tree, of course). Most trees have instructions on how to assemble them, but usually, you should do it from the base to the top if you prefer, you can opt for a different decoration, using, for example, a natural plant.

Stand back and go around the pine to see if all the branches are wide open. Now it's time to put the lights on. Choose a set of lights that illuminates the whole tree.

You can use more than one, especially if they are smaller. The important thing is that you have enough lights to light all the branches. Roll the lights from top to bottom while going around the tree. Turn on the light set(s) only at the end.

Finally, it's time to decorate. Put on the decorations you like the most and try to use colors that complement each other (red and gold are always a success). This way, you guarantee that you create a unique and harmonious decoration.

2. The type of decoration

The second step to decorate your Christmas tree is to realize what style of decorative elements you want to hang since you don't have to stick to the more traditional ones.

If you don't want to hang balls, choose little gifts, Christmas stockings, and the Santa Clauses. If you're looking for a different touch, choose artificial branches or flowers, which will bring another life to your tree.

You can also put decorative ribbons around the tree, surrounding it from top to bottom. And of course, you can't forget to put the star on top at the end of everything.

3. Don't forget the base

The base of the Christmas tree usually ends up forgotten. Don't let that happen and originally hide the structure in a way that complements the rest of the decoration.

You can wrap the structure in decorative cloths or even put artificial plants around it, also decorated. But there are more ways to decorate the base of the Christmas tree. You can, for example, start placing the presents around it.

But, if you haven't bought anything yet and don't want to leave the structure uncovered, you can always purchase cardboard boxes or styrofoam structures wrapping them as if they were real gifts.
In addition to wrapping paper, you can also make one of those huge bow ties in each of these "gifts." Thus, besides hiding the structure that's at the base of the Christmas tree, you create a unique atmosphere that anticipates the arrival of this unforgettable day.
